We check credentials harder than a Westlands bouncer on a Friday. Nobody sees a client until that check is done.

Why this exists

Mental health care in Kenya deserves more than a profile photo and a good bio. Before a therapist is listed, a person on our team reviews their licence, identity and professional documents. Only then does their profile go live.

What we ask for

  1. A complete applicationLicence number (Kenya Counsellors and Psychologists Board or equivalent practising authority), years of experience, languages, specialties and a clear bio.
  2. Documents, uploaded privatelyYour practising licence and national ID or passport, plus a degree certificate if you have one to hand. Files go to private, encrypted storage that only our reviewers can open, through links that expire in minutes. Nothing goes on the public site.
  3. Human reviewOur team compares the documents to the application. We may ask for more information, reject the application with a reason the therapist can see, or approve it.
  4. Live in the directoryOnce verified, a therapist sets their weekly hours and clients can book them. (Every therapist turns on two-step verification before they can even start an application.) Suspended or rejected accounts never appear in the directory.

What clients can trust

  • Everyone in the directory has passed verification.
  • Sessions are by video, never recorded, with an optional phone fallback.
  • Your first short consultation is free, so you can see if it clicks.
  • If something feels off, tell us. We can suspend a profile while we look into it.

If you are a therapist

Apply from the sign-up flow, finish your profile in the portal, upload credentials, then submit. We email you as soon as there’s a decision. Licence details are locked once you’re verified; if they change, contact us and we’ll check them again. On purpose.
