Agreeing to these terms
By creating an account or booking a session, you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy. If you are signing up as a therapist, you also agree to the verification and professional conduct rules on How we verify.
What Ever Peaceful is
Ever Peaceful is a platform that helps adults in Kenya find licensed therapists, book and pay for sessions, meet by video, and use optional wellbeing tools. We are not your therapist. Care is provided by the independent professionals you book with.
We are not an emergency or 24/7 crisis line. Messaging your therapist is not monitored around the clock. If you are in immediate danger, call emergency services or use the numbers on Contact.
Accounts
- You must be 18 or older.
- Use a real email you control. Keep your password and two-step codes private.
- Therapists and admins must enable two-step verification before using their dashboards.
- You can download your data or delete your account in Settings. Deletion follows the rules in the privacy policy.
Bookings and payments
- Session prices are shown before you book. Your first 20-minute consultation is free (one per person); other sessions are charged at the listed rate.
- Paid sessions are held briefly while you complete M-Pesa. Your PIN is entered on your phone, never on our site.
- After payment, your therapist has 24 hours to accept. If they decline or don’t answer in time, the time is released and you are refunded in full.
- Cancelling more than 24 hours before the session usually releases a refund. Cancelling later may mean no refund. The booking screen tells you which applies before you confirm.
- Group sessions may not be available yet even if a price is listed.
Sessions
- Sessions happen by video in a private room. They are not recorded.
- If video fails, your therapist may switch to a phone call using a number you have verified. That switch is logged.
- Join on time. If nobody joins within 15 minutes of the start, the session is marked as missed and is not refunded. If you waited and your therapist never came, you are refunded in full.
- Session notes belong to the clinical record. Your therapist writes them; you do not edit them through the app.
Acceptable use
Do not use Ever Peaceful to harass anyone, share another person’s private health information, attempt to break into accounts, scrape the directory, or book under a false identity. We may suspend or delete accounts that break these rules.
Responsibility
Therapy outcomes vary. We work to keep the platform available and secure, but we cannot promise uninterrupted access, especially on poor connections. To the extent Kenyan law allows, Ever Peaceful is not liable for clinical decisions made by therapists, or for losses caused by events outside our reasonable control.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya. Disputes are subject to the courts of Kenya, without limiting any rights you have under consumer or data-protection law.
